9 days sober

Didn't update this yesterday or this morning which is not great. However, I did go to a 12 step meeting in person yesterday and today which is I think the best thing you can do in recovoery. Important that I update this as well, even on the days when I am attending 12 step meetings. 9 days sober now since my last relapse and I feel that has gone quickly in the sense that I haven't been beating myself up or dwelling on the relpase much. I have been busy with work, 12 step meetings, out reach calls and just in general which means there hasn't been much opportunity to dwell.

Another morning blog entry and another sober day to report which is great and have now built up a week of sobriety as a starting base. The last 2 relapses have happened around 25-30 days of sobriety so that is a period I need to be extra vigilant of. Off to work today, a few things to do but I'm reasonably on top of things at the moment, just have a general build up of tiredness over the week that I need to be aware of and think about each thing I say at work before opening my mouth.
Going to another 12 step meeting tomorrow night.

Went to a 12 step meeting last night. Was tired after work and not in the best mood for it but went and really glad I did as it was a big boost to my resolve to stay sober. Work again today, will be good to get past Wednesday "the hump day" and most of the working week is done then. Started to read the basic text of my 12 step group.

Well just got time to check in quickly, but as promised I am here in the morning. A day of work ahead and a 12 step meeting tonight so I'm confident that I will stay sober today. Hope everyone has a good day, Jeff.

Well, didn't manage to update this, this morning. I forgot to do it the first thing after getting up and then didn't have time before I had to leave for work. Will endevour to make it the first thing I do when I step out of bed tomorrow morning. Nevertheless, it's been another sober day.

As far as days at work go today was actually pretty good. I was productive and managed to have a laugh. The weather was awful today so it was good that I've managed to stay in quite a good mood. Watched a travel documentary on youtube in the evening and that gave me some good hope as I'd like to live a life of leisure in another country someday when I can afford to retire.
Going to a 12 step meeting tomorrow night.
